St. Joseph School 60th Anniversary Reunion

Due to very low registration, the St. Joseph School 60th Anniversary Reunion has been cancelled.  If you have already registered and paid, you will receive a full refund by September 15, 2018.  The method of refund will be the same as the method of payment (PayPal, personal check, etc.).

The St. Joseph School 60th Anniversary Reunion is for all alumni of St. Joseph School in Birmingham (Ensley), Alabama, as well as former students, teachers, principals, and all others whose lives were touched by the school. St. Joseph School opened its doors on September 2, 1958, and remained open until May 31, 1997. During that entire 40-year span, the Sisters of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary dedicated their lives to teaching, loving, and nurturing St. Joseph students, and it is to the Presentation Sisters that this reunion is dedicated.

The reunion will include light refreshments, storytelling, reminiscing, touring of the school and grounds, and viewing of photographs, videos, and artifacts from the school. Attendees are also invited to bring their own items, especially old photos, to share with the group.  Additionally, participants may take books from the library at no charge (free books are limited to those that were owned by St. Joseph School; books belonging to the JCCEO or others are not available).

The registration fee is $22 for adults and $10 for children 13-19 (children 12 and under are free).  Registration fee covers food, all reunion activities, security during the event, other costs related to organizatioin of the reunion, and donations to the Jefferson County Committee for Economic Opportunity (JCCEO) and St. Joseph Parish, without whose support and cooperation the reunion would not be possible.  A commemorative keepsake memento is also included.

Note: Alcohol will not be served at the reunion and may not be brought in or consumed onsite.

Online registration closes at 10 p.m. Saturday, September 1, 2018  -- after this time, please register onsite the day of the reunion.  The registration fee increases to $25 at the door, so please register in advance to save money!
