Knights of Columbus Council 10567 members were busy during the week of April 9, delivering proceeds from the Campaign for People with Intellectual Disabilities to two organizations.
The Knights delivered checks to the Exceptional Foundation, an organization that offers programs for citizens of all ages with intellectual disabilities, and to Adamsville Elementary for their Special Education program.
The Knights would like to thank all who contributed to our very successful drive during this fraternal year.
Since its inception in 1991, Knights of Columbus Council 10567 has been an active participant in raising money to help the mentally challenged citizens in our community. The drive, which is sponsored annually by the Knights of Columbus, is designed to raise money for children or adults with special needs. The program is known to many as the "Tootsie Roll Drive", since Knights usually give away Tootsie Rolls while collecting donations.
