St. Patrick Knights of Columbus Council 10567 members participated in the community-wide Jonathan Douglas Memorial Scholarship Bowling Tournament on Saturday, February 9 in Fultondale.

The inaugural event was held to raise money for the scholarship that is awarded each year to a student-athlete at Minor High School who exemplifies the character, leadership and academic excellence that Jonathan Douglas embodied. Called "J.D" by his friends, Jonathan Douglas was diagnosed with Leukemia soon after graduating from Minor High School and passed away during his college years. His friends intend for this scholarship to keep alive his memory and to celebrate the many friendships he made during his life.
