During Lent, we are asked to focus more intently on "almsgiving," which means donating money or goods to the poor and performing other acts of charity.
One of the most effective ways you can implement this important element of your Lenten journey is to donate non-perishable groceries to the St. Vincent de Paul Society's food bank. Paper bags are available at the church with a list of much-needed items attached. The list is ever-changing so click here to see the most current needs.
Please consider filling one or more of these bags and bringing it back sometime before the end of the Lenten season.
"The one who is gracious to the poor lends to the Lord, and the Lord will repay him for his good deed." Proverbs 19:17
