Knights of Columbus Council 10567 has selected Three Hots And A Cot as the spotlight charity for this year’s Dinner Dance, to be held on Saturday, August 25 at the Bessemer Civic Center.
Three Hots And A Cot was formed by veterans to help veterans. The primary mission is to assist homeless military veterans transition from life on the streets into a self-sustained lifestyle.
Rich Cislak, Co-Founder and Chief Financial Officer, said, "From all of us at Three Hots And A Cot, thank you to St. Patrick Knights of Columbus for your very generous donation in helping to end veteran homelessness.
"In the past eight years, we have had more than 1,200 veterans come through our program looking to get their life back again. Our success rate is 85% but we can never give up on the 15% that didn't make it and, unfortunately, the countless more that will walk through our doors. Homeless and Veterans are two words that should never be used in the same sentence. Your generous donation will help provide the necessary resources they need to help them become proud again.”
Named in honor of the late Jerome C. Bradley, who was instrumental in starting the Dinner Dance in 2002, the Dinner Dance is a popular and fun event that supports the many worthwhile causes selected by Council 10567 during the year.
A $100 ticket admits two and includes a buffet dinner, beer and wine. This year’s theme is Stars and Stripes Forever and music and dancing will be provided by a professional DJ.
Tickets will be on sale soon. To reserve your ticket or for questions, contact Larry Cannon at 205-497-2500.
