On Thursday, March 30, 2017, James Spann paid a visit to St. Joseph Hall to spread the word about weather awareness and mostly, safety in the threat of Spring weather. The event, sponsored by the Ladies Auxiliary, was well attended with over 100 parishioners, young people and members of the Adamsville community. Through a brief presentation, he shared some wonderful information about his work to not only educate the public but also prepare everyone for what is needed during the threat of tornadoes. Who knew that your safe place should contain helmets (such as a bicycle or batting helmet) and hard-soled shoes?
The Ladies provided refreshments for those attending. They also gave him a gift bag which included green shamrock suspenders as well as a really cool cake!
We appreciate James Spann's willingness to spread his passion for saving lives by visiting our parish. And we certainly appreciate the great attendance and interest from the parish and community at large.
Make sure to view the photos within this article of scenes from the day. The photo of the cake is amazing!
