St. Patrick Knights of Columbus Council 10567 is proud to announce that Bundles of Hope Diaper Bank has been chosen as the spotlight charity for the 15th Annual Jerome C. Bradley Memorial Dinner Dance.
The 2016 Dinner Dance will be held on Saturday, August 27 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Discovery Alabama Events & Conference Center at Watermark Place in Bessemer.
Nancy Owen, Executive Director of Bundles of Hope Diaper Bank, said, “We wish to thank the Knights of Columbus Council for choosing Bundles of Hope as their spotlight charity this year. Bundles of Hope is Birmingham's first diaper bank and our mission is to provide diapers to families in need as well as engage the community and raise awareness for 'diaper need'. Diaper need is the lack of a sufficient supply of diapers needed to keep a baby clean and dry and it affects 1 in 3 families.
"It is our honor and privilege to serve these families and in the process share the HOPE we have in Christ. Currently, we distribute diapers through several community food pantries, Children's Hospital, Footprints Ministry, Lifeline, Shelby County Foster and Adoptive Parent Association, Impact Family Counseling, Christ Health Center, and local women's centers. Your support will allow us to better serve our community. From our entire team, volunteers, and families we thank you."
Named in honor of the late Jerome C. Bradley, who was instrumental in starting the Dinner Dance in 2002, this has become a popular and fun event that supports the many worthwhile causes selected by Council 10567 during the year.
A $100 ticket admits two and includes a buffet dinner, beer and wine, and music and dancing provided by a professional dj.
