Knights of Columbus Council 10567 won both the Columbian and Founders' awards for the 2012 - 2013 fraternal year.
The Columbian Award is presented for excellence in sponsoring programs that serve the church, community, families, pro-life, and youth -- as well as council members. The Founders' Award is given for outstanding promotion of the organization's fraternal insurance program.
Supreme Knight Carl A. Anderson, president of the international organization, said, "Please accept my sincere congratulations on attaining these prestigious awards. The dedication to the Order shown by your council is seen in the high standard of excellence you have achieved. At the same time, I encourage you to carry forward this enthusiasm to meet the challenges that will face the Knights of Columbus in the years ahead. May these awards be a reminder and an inspiration to the members of your council to continue to promote the ideals of the Knights of Columbus for the good of the Church, your community, and the Order."
Council 10567 Grand Knight Greg Brasher said, "Receiving these awards is quite an honor and is a tribute to the leadership of Past Grand Knight Larry Cannon and to the great service performed by the council members."
