Bishop Baker Accepts Appointment as Faithful Friar of Fourth Degree

Steve Griffin, District Master of the Fourth Degree of the Alabama Knights of Columbus, has announced that Bishop Robert J. Baker of Birmingham has accepted the appoinment as Faithful Friar of the Fourth Degree.

In making the announcement, Griffin said, "It is with a great deal of gratitude that I announce that the Fourth Degree of the Alabama Knights of Columbus has a new District Friar for our State. The Most Reverend Robert J. Baker S.T.D. – Bishop of Birmingham in Alabama has accepted the appointment as Faithful Friar of the Fourth Degree in our State.

"I know that the nearly 8500 members of the Alabama Knights of Columbus (and their families) join me in welcoming our new Friar and offer our most sincere appreciation for his willingness to serve as our spiritual guide in the Patriotic, Fourth Degree of the Alabama Knights of Columbus.

"We look forward to our future with Bishop Baker providing spiritual leadership and know too that all members of the Knights of Columbus look forward to progressing to the Fourth Degree of our Order and serving in the Visible Arm of the Order.

"The Knights in our Great State of Alabama are better today as a result of the Bishop’s decision to serve us as we continue to serve our Church, Clergy and Country."
