Six Knights of Columbus members from Council 10567 were among more than 50 Knights who made their 4th Degree on Saturday, February 19 at Our Lady of the Valley.
The new Sir Knights are: Phillip Troha, Joseph Schober, Anthony Brooklere, Don Cannon, Adam Cooper and Patrick Milko.
The new members were accompanied at the 4th Degree by Brother Knights Father Vernon Huguley, Clay Reece, Larry Cannon, Ron Tillerson, Joseph Byrd and Louis J. Muro.
"It was a great Degree and we are all proud of our new 4th Degree Knights," said Louis J. Muro, Faithful Navigator of Assembly 2399. "It was especially meaningful to all of us that Father Vernon Huguley was there with us and shared in this great day for these new Sir Knights."
After the exemplification ceremony, Knights and their guests went to Mass and then attended the 4th Degree banquet in the OLV Family Life Center.
The 4th Degree Exemplification adds Patriotism to the three original principles of the Knights of Columbus: Charity, Unity and Fraternity. The primary purpose of the 4th Degree is to foster the spirit of patriotism and to uphold the Catholic faith.
