 Bowling Benefits Scholarship
Bowling Benefits Scholarship

The annual bowling tournament to benefit the Jonathan Douglas Scholarship at Minor High School will be held on Saturday, January 23 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Vestavia Bowl.

Cost is $50 per person and there will be four-man teams. The event is held each year to raise money for the scholarship that is awarded each year to a student-athlete at Minor High School who exemplifies the character, leadership and academic excellence that Jonathan Douglas embodied.

Called "J.D" by his friends, Jonathan Douglas was diagnosed with Leukemia soon after graduating from Minor High School and passed away during his college years. His friends intend for this scholarship to keep alive his memory and to celebrate the many friendships he made during his life.
