For the second year in a row, we've got a brand new place for our SPIRIT Retreat, but the fun you'll have at the Retreat will be the same as in the past! Camp Sumatanga near Gadsden, Alabama, is 1,700 acres of natural beauty, and it's all waiting for us July 30 and 31!

We'll leave Saturday morning at 7 a.m. from St. Patrick, returning Sunday about 3:45 p.m. We'll enjoy Camp Sumatanga's swimming pool, and we'll (hopefully!) master the low ropes course. There will also be time for games and icebreakers, fun, relaxation, prayer, and good food!

In addition to the fun and crazy stuff, we'll go to Mass Saturday afternoon at St. James Church in Gadsden, and we'll renew our friendship with an old friend - our former pastor, Father Gray Bean, who is now pastor at St. James.  After Mass, we'll go out to dinner with Father!

The retreat cost is $25, due July 24, but if you help at the Car Wash July 23, you can earn a credit toward that fee. If your parents haven't completed a SPIRIT Permission Form, they will need to do so. Specifics about times and things to bring will be sent later to those who register. Sign-up as soon as possible, but no later than July 24!!

If you have any questions, contact Kevin Whitaker. Don't miss this fun time together with your friends from St. Patrick - Father Bean, too!
