Columbian Squires Elect New Officers

Columbian Squires Circle 44881 has elected new officers for fraternal year 2009 - 2010.

Our new Squires officers are:
Chief Squire: Justin Richerzhagen
Deputy Chief Squire: Mark McPherson
Bursar: Jeff Blanchard
Notary: Zack Collins
Marshall: Brennan Martignoni
Pole Captain - Robert M. Smith
Arm Captain - Nick Collins

Council 10567 member Doug Blanchard will continue to serve as the counselor and advisor for the Squires Circle.

The Columbian Squires Circle at St. Patrick is one of the most active in the state of Alabama and has proven to be a great program for the young Catholic men in the parish.

Columbian Squires Circle 4481 was chartered at St. Patrick on December 6, 1998 with 11 young men as charter members. Their names are shown below.  Charter Members of Columbian Squires Circle 4481

The Squires organization is open to all young boys ages 10 to 18 and more than 22,000 participate in the program worldwide. The Squires Circle at St. Patrick is one of more than 1,300 "circles" throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, the Philippines, the Caribbean, and other places where Knights of Columbus councils are located. Every circle is sponsored by a Knights of Columbus council, and Knights serve as adult counselors to the group.

Squires graduating from the program at age 18 are eligible for college and vocations scholarships offered by the Knights of Columbus Supreme Council office. They are urged to join the Knights to continue their commitment to Columbanism.
