Father Vernon decided that it would be great to gather his parishioners for a pot luck meal. So on Sunday, January 4, 2009, parishioners gathered bringing their own vegetables, salads and starches to complement the meats provided by the parish and the fun began.
Good Food... Great Time!
After our blessing, led by Father Vernon, parishioners dug in on either side of the tables containing the array of foods. Thanks to the Ladies Auxiliary members for volunteering and working to ensure that the food was hot, organized and ready to eat and to Joe Dush and Knights of Columbus members for securing the meat. Thanks also to contributing cooks for a memorable and delectable meal. Even Father Vernon contributed by preparing some of his favorite cakes for all to share.
