St. Patrick welcomed some special visitors to the celebration of Mass on Sunday, November 9th.

The Knights of Peter Claver celebrated their Founder's Day by celebrating Sunday Mass with us at St. Patrick. Father Vernon Huguley is a member of both the Knights of Columbus and the Knights of Peter Claver and is Grand Knight of Council 140 of the Knights of Peter Claver.

The Knights of Peter Claver (and their Ladies Auxiliary) is the largest predominately African American lay Catholic organization in the United States. The Knights and Ladies are a family based organization with councils and councils throughout the United States. In 2006, a Council and Court was established in San Andres Colombia.

The Order was founded November 7, 1909 in Mobile Alabama.

Thanks to our own Knights of Columbus and Ladies Auxiliary for providing refreshments after Mass in the St. Joseph Hall.
