If you're in Grades 6-12, we want you to become a part of one of the best things going at St. Patrick Parish, St. Patrick's Involved and Religiously Inspired Teens, or SPIRIT.

Whether you're in Grade 12 and an active SPIRIT member for years, in Grade 6 and want to join for the first time, or somewhere in between, the 2010 SPIRIT Kick-Off is for you!

The Kick-Off is set for Sunday, September 12, beginning at 11:30 a.m. in the SPIRIT Room, located on the third level of the Fr. Raymond J. Murrin Family Life Center.

We invite youth and parents to meet-and-greet your SPIRIT Leaders, meet other youth you may not know, and learn what's coming soon to SPIRIT.  Parents, we'll ask you to complete necessary paperwork, so please bring medical and insurance information about your child.  If you'd like, you can get a head start on the paperwork by downloading the forms and bringing the completed forms to the meeting.

During the meeting, we'll continue the tradition we began last year, the Senior Wall, a special area in the SPIRIT Room dedicated to our future graduates, where they will place their handprints on the wall, and leave their mark -- literally and symbolically -- on SPIRIT.

After the Meet & Greet, it'll be time for pure fun in the afternoon when we go to BumperNets at the Riverchase Galleria.  BumperNets is a unique arcade-like game store with pool (billiards), ping pong, pinball, classic arcade games, modern video games, Guitar Hero, and more!

The value of the BumperNets fun is $9.50, but those who attend September 12 will pay just $5.  We'll eat at the food court, so bring extra money for lunch.  We'll return to the church at 3:30 p.m.

We extend a special invitation to all those in Grade 6 and to those in Grades 7-12 new to the parish or who have not been a regular part of SPIRIT in the past.  We want you!  Please come join us!
