The Gardendale Journey prayer group has spent the last week or so putting together a plan to bring a little cheer to many of the parish's shut-ins. And so on Sunday afternoon, March 25th, they got together and formed a small caravan making stops in Pleasant Grove, Shady Grove, Graysville, Forestdale and Mt. Olive and delivering a few smiles, hugs, prayers and a basket of goodies to several of our sick and shut-in parishioners. The packages delivered consisted of a vase with a fresh spring flower along with a gift basket of practical supplies such as kleenex, chap stick, lotion, toothbrush, toothpaste, some assorted candies, prayer cards and rosary beads, all designed to help bring our family of St. Patrick's into the lives of these wonderful people. We cried, we prayed and we laughed as we spent a little quality time with them all.
You can share in the moments experienced with some of these visits by taking a look at the pictures within this article.
We continue to pray for these and all our sick and shut-in parishioners, especially during this Lenten and Easter season.
