Tournament seeding will be based on final regular season standings after all games have been played through February 18, and brackets will be posted shortly thereafter.
The regular season Flea Girls Division will be split into two separate divisions of five teams each for the tournament (top five teams and bottom five teams), and each division will compete independently from the other. Each girls division, as well as the Flea Boys Green Division, will follow a single-elimination format. The Flea Boys White Division will follow a double-elimination format.
Thursday-Sunday: $5 for adults, $3 for children 6-16. Monday: $3 for adults, $1 for children 6-16. Children under 6 are free at all times.
Upon paying, each person will receive an admission ticket that should be retained and presented for re-entry.
Players and coaches in uniform and participating in the tournament will be admitted free; Toy Bowl players and coaches not participating in the tournament must pay the admission fee. Full-price tickets will be sold until half-time of the final game of the day.
Recognition and Awards
Players and coaches will be introduced before select games. We’ll begin every game with a prayer and our National Anthem will be played before the first game each day.
During the tournament, there will be special recognition of and presentations to the players as follows:
All players will receive a certificate following the final game in which they play.
First- and second-place team trophies will be awarded in each division.
In the featured Flea Boys White Division, players on the first- and second-place teams will receive individual medals, and the 2018 Shamrock Classic Flea Division Boys Champion will receive the Shamrock Classic Champions Plaque to display at its school for the remainder of the school year.
Thanks for Your Support!
The Shamrock Classic is a fun time for all, and we do our best at St. Patrick to make the experience a memorable one for everyone involved, particularly the players. In addition to generating an exciting weekend of basketball action, the tournament is the primary fundraiser for our SPIRIT youth group.
In addition to our youth and their leaders, you’ll see many other parishioners helping out during the tournament. We feel we offer great food at great prices in the concession stand.
With all of this said, we respectfully request your support of our concession stand, and ask that “outside” food not be brought into the gym. We have been blessed by the generosity of Toy Bowl fans in the past and we know we will again be so, this year.
Our concession stand will serve a full menu during the entire tournament. It will open one hour before the first game each day and will close 15 minutes after the final game each night.
