Rick Thomas was only with the Knights of Columbus a short time when he died tragically in an auto accident on August 1, 1996 at the age of 36.
Mr. Thomas was a native of Pennsylvania who worked for the Edy's Ice Cream branch of Sealtest. He was working for a company doing propane gas deliveries at the time of his death.
Mr. Thomas attended a Holy Saturday Mass at St. Patrick in 1995 and decided then to become a Catholic. He took instructions from Father Ray Murrin and was sponsored by longtime St. Patrick parishioner Pauline Vines. He became a Catholic on Holy Saturday in 1996, just a few months before his untimely death.
