"Service...is love in action, love 'made flesh'; service is the body, the incarnation of love. Love is the impetus, service the act, and creativity the result with many by-products." --Sarah Patton Boyle
The quote above from civil rights activist Sarah Patton Boyle coincides with my experience with the men and ladies who have provided such unselfish service for so many years as members of Knights of Columbus Council 10567, the Ladies Auxiliary, Bishop Joseph A. Durick Fourth Degree Assembly 2399 and the Columbian Squires Circle 4481.
As Sarah Boyle says, "Love is the impetus, service the act..." These men and ladies provide great service and they do it out of pure love. Since the day we were chartered, Our Knights, Sir Knights, Ladies and Squires have provided countless hours of prayer, countless hours of physical labor and thousands of dollars in financial support to so many. We are proud to serve the following:
- St. Patrick Catholic Church
- The great parishioners of St. Patrick
- The remarkable Priests, Nuns and Deacons who serve and have served St. Patrick
- Young people deserving of financial help for College
- The mentally challenged citizens of our country, and
- All in need of help in any way
We are proud that St. Patrick has all four organizations that make up the Knights of Columbus: |
