Participants of St. Patrick Youth Basketball (SPYB) in Grades 1-8 who play in the Toy Bowl Association must be actively enrolled in Faith Formation classes at St. Patrick or must attend a Catholic School. Players who register for basketball and whose attendance at Faith Formation classes significantly declines may be withdrawn from the team.
Parents of all players are expected to work in the Concession Stand and at the Admission Table for games played at St. Patrick. A schedule will be provided to all parents once games to be played at St. Patrick have been determined. Parents are not asked to work every game.
At least one parent of each player must attend a required parent meeting (date TBA). If at least one parent from each family does not attend the meeting in its entirety, all players from that family will not be allowed to play.
REGISTRATION & FEES
The player registration form will be posted on this page as a Related Document during the registration period (see below), and will also normally be available in the Church Gathering Place. Additional documents about registration or the program in general may also be posted here throughout the season; check back here periodically.
The registration fee for SPYB is $60 per player. This fee covers use of a uniform for the season, and partially funds other program-related expenses. Players must properly care for their uniform and return it at the end of the season.
A non-refundable $20 deposit is due with the registration form, and a player is not considered registered for a team until both are received. The registration form must be properly completed and signed by the player and at least one parent before it will be accepted.
The Program Support Fee of $25 is due from each family who registers players for SPYB. This fee is fully refundable at the end of the season provided families have worked their scheduled shifts in the concession stand and Admission Table in their entirety or have properly arranged for a substitute and who have returned uniforms in reasonably the same condition they were in when they were issued to the player. The Program Support Fee will not be refunded if all players from the same family have withdrawn from their team(s) for any reason.
As stated above, a non-refundable $20 deposit is due with the registration form. The balance of fees ($65) is due on or before November 5, 2017. However, it is the policy of St. Patrick Youth Sports that no player shall be refused acceptance into any sports program due to inability to pay fees, provided (s)he regularly attends practice sessions and games, and his/her parents support the program through cooperation with program officials and by fulfilling requirements of the Program Support Fee. Parents should contact Kevin Whitaker regarding this matter, and all conversations and correspondence are strictly confidential; unless parents initiate contact, it will be assumed that payment of fees is not an issue.
